Brush hand

I'm praticising my watercolour skills.


This - a twist on the self portrait - isn't perfect (parts of it are overworked - watercolour has limited allowance for corrections and reworking), but I am quite pleased with it.

The idea came from a quick line sketch made during the process of painting a couple of rather poor self portraits:

It's not terribly easy to paint your own hand, essentially painting itself - from the other side of the board (and the mirror), but it was an entertaining challenge.
