Lego Minifigures 46: Olympic Archer

Painted by request, here is the Lego Olympic Archer, Team GB flavour. (I'm wondering, now, whether the same sports were represented in the other national sets that the enterprising Danes are bound to have produced.)

He's quite a dashing figure, with the curl in his fringe...

Painted with a 3/8" brush - see the in-progress.

Acrylic on canvas, 7 x 7 cm
Spoken for.

  1. These are quite wonderful, Amanda. The UK certainly did an amazing job hosting the Olympics. I'm wondering: have you ever sent links to your posts to the people at Lego? I'll bet they'd love your work. Thank you for the lovely comment you left on my little aubergine; the book you're reading is on my "to read" list, so I'll be curious to hear what you think. How lucky you are to live in a place with such literary history. Someday I hope to tour England and visit some of these places that I've read about or seen on BBCA (BBC America)!

    1. I haven't sent any links to Lego; I may do that. Thank you for the idea.

Re. the literary history, I still feel quite thrilled about it - possibly because I grew up in a different part of England and read many of the works with links to Hampshire before I moved here.

      I just found this site:
      http://www.historynet.com/wandering-in-literary-hampshire.htm
... which reveals even more historical literary treasures.

Should you ever make it to England, do let me know; I could show you part of Hampshire, if you fancy getting away from the bigger connurbations.

  2. Oh, and I meant to add: I always love seeing the steps to another artist's process...fascinating!

    1. Good! I'm so glad. Posts dedicated to anything other than the finished work never seem so popular, but it is lovely to hear that you like them.
