Current Exhibition

Andover, 30 June to 8 August 2018

I am showing five pieces in the group exhibition, Traces of Prehistory, at Andover Museum. The exhibition is themed around the legacy of prehistoric man, and all five members of Artikinesis have interpreted this in different ways. My own contributions are probably the most straightforward, which is fitting as the theme was my idea, based on my love of various prehistoric sites such as hill forts, stone circles and dolmens.

Andover Museum effectively hold two permanent collections. One is the local museum, which gleefully begins with neanderthals and the fine figure that is "Hairy Mary" before rolling on through history to the present day. The other is the Museum of the Iron Age, which is centred upon the impressive hill fort at nearby Danebury Hill. It seemed like the perfect place for Traces.

Artikinesis are Adeliza Mole, Brian R. Marchant, Rosemary Lawrey and myself. We've been working together for three years now, and the results are always interesting.

The exhibition is open:
Tuesday to Friday, 10am to 5pm
Saturday, 10 am to 4pm
until 18 August.
