This is the first painting completed in my studio.
It's based on some of my photographs of the field of poppies near Basingstoke (with an interloper from the foot of Cottington's Hill). The name refers merely to the size of the piece.
The light - never good on Thursday - had failed beyond the capabilities of my digital camera. But today, it was sunny, and I was in the studio collecting stuff for the library exhibition, so I grabbed a few shots.
