Seven Brushes

I was tired, but felt a need to paint something.

Lego Minifigures: Star Wars Wedding - Commission - SOLD

This was a commission for a wedding present. Princess Leia and Hans Solo got married today (names have been changed to protect the minifigures). Congratulations to you both!

Orange Gerbera

Some friends have gone away for a few days and gave us some groceries that they thought might not last - and some flowers, which were much prettier than the potatoes. Any regular reader of this blog will know what usually happens if I am given flowers, second-hand or otherwise.

Gold and Silver Birch Framed

I used a "floater" or "tray" frame for Gold and Silver Birch because I wanted the raw linen at the edges to be visible.

Strawberry

Strawberries are quite difficult to paint.

New Greetings Card Range

30 paintings have been hand-picked for use on a range of high quality greetings cards. They use the same superior photography as the Fine Art prints (they are a subset of the bigger prints) and are printed to the same high standard on 300gsm cotton rag card.

Cherry Pop

If these fruit look familiar, it may be that you recognise them from my small painting, "Tailor".

Avebury Sheep

This is a "housekeeping" post intended to simplify navigation. It is not a new painting.

Avebury Sheep is available as a fine art print and as a high quality greetings card.

The painting was made in 2012 from a monchrome photograph taken in 2007.

Tailor (Cherry 2)

I deliberately held back this pair of cherries from the packed lunches - but there are no more. Soldier and Spy will have to wait.

#Growjune

There was an abundance of subjects for June's Twitter art theme, which was plants, preferrably seasonal.
This is a selection of my offerings.

Tinker (Cherry 1)

When I saw the cherries in our local shop, I couldn't resist them. Some for the kids' packed lunches tomorrow, some for me to eat today... and aren't they lovely to look at. One to paint (and then eat).

Vegetable Chilli (2014)

I'm still looking forward to cooking and eating this meal - sadly, one fresh tomato isn't enough to make a sauce for the rest of the ingredients, and we were unexpectedly all out of tinned tomatoes.

It'll taste just as good tomorrow.

I've painted a very similiar subject before; click here to view the 2001 version.
