Cottington's Poppies 2 - mini version

This was meant to be an oil painting done with a knife on a 30 x 30" box canvas. But the big box canvas hasn't arrived, so I made a miniature version instead. In acrylic, with a brush.

I even painted the edges.

Acrylic on canvas, 7 x 7 cm.

  2. Thank you, Beth. It's one thing painting the edges of a tiny canvas you can hold in one hand*, in fast-drying acrylic - but painting the edges of that big box canvas (which is going to necessitate digging out my big easel from its dusty corner), in slow drying oils, will be a challenge! I do like a challenge, mind.

*I don't use an easel at all when I'm painting the 7x7's.
